Digital Conference puts a Roof Over the Nottingham Samaritans' Heads

Life News

The Nottingham Digital Summit saw more than 750 professionals in the marketing, creative and technical sectors gather for a world-class conference, and in the process raise over £20,000 for the Nottingham branch of The Samaritans.

The conference was organised by digital marketing agency Hallam as a fundraiser for their charity of the year, The Samaritans. The funds will be used by The Samaritans to replace the leaky roof at the Nottingham Samaritans’ office in Clarendon Street and also towards supporting their outreach work.

People who work and live in the Creative Quarter have been helping to influence the plans to transform the 40-acre scrub land behind BioCity and the BBC building, known as the former Boots Island site.

Architects, local residents, Sneinton market tenants, local business owners and festival organisers were amongst those who fed back on plans to create a brand new mixed-use scheme which will expand the Creative Quarter.

The team behind this development - Conygar, Lavignac and FutureCity, presented initial ideas on how to breathe new life into the site while embedding and embracing Nottingham’s culture.

This is one of the largest regeneration sites outside of London in private ownership and presents a really exciting opportunity for Nottingham and its already thriving Creative Quarter
