Creative Quarter Company (CQC), the economic development and place-making agency based in Sneinton Market, has made a significant positive difference to eight independent Nottingham businesses by connecting them with invaluable mentoring and grant funding. In total, over £57,000 was distributed by the CQC via the East Midlands Accelerator project.

An independent Christmas market will take place across Sneinton Market Avenues on the last weekend of November, thanks to a collaboration between the tenants on the site. A Very Sneinton Christmas is designed to celebrate the best of Sneinton’s diverse heritage and creative community. Visitors to Sneinton Market Avenues on the east side of Nottingham city centre can expect artists, makers, musicians, food, drink, and everything in between, all distinctly local and independent.

On Wednesday 13 October, the Creative Quarter will host NIPIM, Nottingham’s answer to MIPIM (Le Marché International des Professionnels de L'immobilier), the international property event hosted in Cannes each year. This breakfast meeting, taking place at Antenna, will feature six high-profile individuals speaking for seven minutes each about Nottingham’s biggest building developments.

Tamily Cookson, Interim CEO of the Creative Quarter Company Nottingham, has been appointed to the UK Council for the Creative UK Group, an organisational body that champions and supports the creative industries nationwide.

The Creative Quarter company, Nottingham’s economic development agency for the creative and digital sector and placing-making organisation for the Creative Quarter locality, has appointed Tamily Cookson as Interim CEO. Previously Programme and Events Manager for the company and its business support programme The Big House, Tamily has worked for the Creative Quarter since 2018.
