Plans have been submitted to Nottingham City Council to build a seven-storey residential development that could either be student accommodation or flats.
Invest NewsTelereal Trillium wants to build the 6,300 sq ft scheme on the corner of Cowan Street in the city centre and has put forward a “flexible” planning application after discussions with the Council over the course of last year.
The site is currently used as a car park and lies between and Sneinton Market and the Lace Market, and could be turned into a scheme including 42 resdential flats or a 91-bed student accommidation block.
In a planning statement, Whittam Cox Architects says:
“It is our belief that the proposal will greatly enhance the quality and appearance of the site; it will provide housing and secure long term sustainable use of the site in addition to providing a positive addition to the local area.”
Telereal Trillium is on of the UK’s largest property companies, owning and managing over 8,000 properties, valued in excess of £6bn.
Harris Lamb is acting as agent on the proposed scheme for Telereal Trillium.
