Learn NewsConfetti Media Group CEO Craig Chettle has been made an MBE in the New Year's Honours list, alongside a number of other Nottingham individuals. The cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason has been made an MBE for services to music. Brian Smith, teacher and founder of the East Midlands' R.E.A.L Education, has also been made an MBE for services to young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Craig Chettle has been a member of the Creative Quarter board since the start of the organisation and was the Chair of the board from December 2015 to November 2018. He founded the Confetti Institute of Creative Industries in 1994.
Now 25 years old, Confetti is a renowned creative industries institute, and has been part of Nottingham Trent University since 2015. Metronome, a new Confetti campus, opened in the Creative Quarter in 2018 and it now teaches visual effects, film, TV, games, live and technical events and music to over 2000 further and higher education students.
