Nottingham Trent University is asking local businesses to submit challenges for final year Psychology students to work through as they put their learning into practice.
Learn OpportunitiesNTU are looking for challenges that students can work on in a small team either intensely during a week or over a number of weeks. Examples of these challenges include: Mental Health and Wellbeing issues, Diversity and Inclusion policy, Training and Development of staff, digital online behaviours, research into customer behaviours etc. The methods students can use to address their challenge can include: Research – through surveys and interviews, Analysis – competitor or internal processes and Policy reviews.
Students will then work on their challenge within groups over an agreed time by them and the group, before delivering feedback and recommendations, in the form of an executive summary or recorded presentation.
This is a great opportunity for students to: gain an understanding of some challenges they will face working in an occupation where their skills and knowledge can be applied; apply knowledge of psychological theory and research into real-life situations; reflect on their future career development and gain valuable work experience in a virtual environment.
Challenge submissions should be entered by 15 October 2020, and projects should be completed by the end of first term. Submissions and enquiries be directed to Lois O’Toole at lois.o’toole@ntu.ac.uk or 0115 848 2664.
