Farah Anton Mora had a 16-week internship at the Creative Quarter as part of her degree in International Business Studies at Nottingham Trent University Business School and the University of Valencia. Read all about her experience while working with the CQ.
Learn ShowcaseI came to Nottingham to finish my International Business Degree after having studied two years in Valencia (Spain). In February I started my placement as a “Business Research and Data Analyst Intern” at the Creative Quarter company, at their office in Sneinton Market.
After four months of internship, I have gained plenty of working experience and work confidence. My job consisted of maintaining and updating the Big House programme CRM, processing project invoices, answering client queries through email or phone calls, some administrative tasks and assisting the other staff members while I worked on different Research Projects for the CQ. I also had the opportunity to attend Creatives’ Club events and participate in the Creative Industries Expo at NTU.
“My research project regarding the CDI (Creative and Digital Industry) business sector in Nottingham makes me feel highly connected to the City and have an understanding of Nottingham’s CDI sector improvement.”
It has been a great experience to enhance my personal growth and understand the work environment from the inside. Now I am more aware about how companies do their job and their impact on society. Furthermore, my research project regarding the CDI (Creative and Digital Industry) business sector in Nottingham makes me feel highly connected to the City and have an understanding of Nottingham’s CDI sector improvement. Many of these small CDI businesses have received business support from the Creative Quarter, as part of the Big House Programme. This proves the value our company creates for the City.

All in all, I can only say positive things about the Creative Quarter and the team with whom I have worked and from which I have received the support and motivation required to complete my internship in the best way.
Many thanks to the Creative Quarter,
Farah Anton Mora.
