With the help of Nottingham poet Rebecca Cullen, last week's Creative's Club wrote two collaborative poems that came out surprisingly inspired. We thought they deserved to be shared.
Life ShowcaseInside the Secret Garden
Snails hide from hunting frogs.
Bees buzz in an endless maze,
through sparks of lavender,
and thyme, and fresh green grass.
The sun shines,
brightly, on good company,
on those who really know me.
And standing on the outside,
you’re welcome to the secret,
if you choose to keep it,
if you dare to step
inside.
In the Big House
In
a big room,
in the big house,
the very big house in the city,
creativity lives, breathes and builds.
Creativity at home may take the shape of a woman rocking in a corner,
of smallness, or a fear of ugliness.
And then again, creativity stretches its long limbs towards high ceilings,
lingers in the space and finds a place to sit,
looking to the future, inhabiting its contemporary.
