Around 40 new homes will be coming to Sneinton Market very soon as Fruit Market begins the first phase in the project. Home buyers will soon be able to live in the hearts of 'the place to be' and be a part of a thriving community.
Life AnnouncementsLater this year, the first phase of the £8m project will start work on the submitted detailed plans for the first 13 homes. Meaning that home buyers will soon be able to take up residency within the Creative Quarter.
This opportunity has allowed house hunters to design their dream houses that they'll soon be able to call home. They'll be on the doorstep of some of the most talented and creative businesses within the CQ. And a great social hub where friends and family come to meet and have fun, they'll also be in one of the most animal and family-friendly areas in the city centre.
12 out of the 13 homes will be customised with the help of architects Letts Wheeler.
“Since we started working on the Fruit Market concept we’ve seen the refurbished Sneinton Market transform into the hub of independent businesses the city has always hoped it would be. This buzz of new innovative and lifestyle-led business activity has changed public perceptions of the area and created an exciting and sought after place to visit and live. The submission of the reserved matters for phase one is a really important milestone for the phase one group. We hope to receive approval in the next few months with construction work on the new homes expected to begin in the spring.”
Alec Hamlin, development manager at Blueprint, who is behind the projectThe Fruit Market development will feature 40 homes that will be built behind the Victoria Leisure Centre. This will be just be off Brook Street and Bath Street.
Peter Beardsworth, local musician will be buying his first home at The Fruit Market
“I chose The Fruit Market because the houses looked so cool, offered good value for money and are in a great location - I’m extremely excited to be living so close to the Lace Market. Plus, the ability to adapt the design to suit my needs really appealed to me. The process so far has been a lot of fun, co-ordination on the project has been great and the group gets on well.”
PeterThis is a great investment that's being put into the area. It's going to help the community grow and develop. It's a brilliant opportunity for people to build their dream home in one of the most popular up and coming areas in the city centre. Businesses aren't only thriving down here but the residency will be too.
The second phase is now open.
This development in taking place over three phases and should be expected to finish around 2021.
