Nottingham-based digital marketing agency Hallam is proud to announce it has selected Nottingham Samaritans as its 2019 charity of the year aiming to help it in its mission of saving lives. The Samaritans will benefit from Hallam’s fundraising activity, digital marketing support and awareness raising.
Life AnnouncementsOne significant fundraiser will be Hallam’s Nottingham Digital Summit. This industry leading event is free to attend in return for a donation to the Samaritans. The Nottingham Digital Summit will take place on 3rd July. Last year more than 600 delegates attended the Summit and raised £15,280 for Framework Housing Association.
“We are proud to be supporting the Nottingham Samaritans. We all know life can be tough, and the Samaritans are here to help. We’re excited to be supporting such a valuable charity that will make a real difference in the local community and we’re looking forward to helping such a great cause.”
Speaking of the new partnership, Hallam MD Stuart RossA recently introduced initiative at Hallam will also allow employees to make donations through payroll. Gift Aid will be automatically added to donations, which will also be matched by the company.
The money raised by Hallam will go directly to the Nottingham branch of the Samaritans and will help people in the local community. Every £5 raised allows the Samaritans to answer a life-saving call for help.

The support from Hallam will ensure we can continue to offer our service to the people of Nottingham and beyond who are struggling emotionally. We are also forging links with the universities, police, and network rail, and this money will go a long way in our endeavours to reach out into the local community. The digital agency is a committed supporter of local charities, with the staff having been supporting not-for-profits in Nottinghamshire for years. Past charities include Framework Housing Association, National Justice Museum and Rainbows Children’s Hospice.
The Samaritans offer a safe place for people to talk anytime they like, in their own way about whatever is on their mind. Their telephone support service is available around the clock, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Samaritans run 201 branches across the UK and Republic of Ireland, with the Nottingham organisation being locally funded.
