On Friday June 21st Nottingham will build on the success of Light Night by holding its first ever Lightest Night.
Life AnnouncementsOn the year’s longest day it’s hoped venues will stay open later and encourage families to enjoy the city centre at its best on what we trust will be a lovely summer evening.
The Creative Quarter Company and St Mary’s Church in the Lace Market will be marking the occasion by holding a garden party in the church grounds between 5pm to 8pm.
We will be delighted if you can join us.
With kind support from Bildurn, based in nearby St Mary’s School, and Castle Rock Brewery, whose Kean’s Head public house is a next-door neighbour of the church, we will be pleased to offer you a drink or two. There will also be live musical entertainment.
But most of all there will be the opportunity to meet and mingle with the community of business people who make the Lace Market and Hockley such great places to work.
If you want to keep going beyond 8pm you could head down to Sneinton Market where the Nottingham Street Food Club will be in residence - as they now are every Friday night.
If you can come along, for a short time or for the whole time, we look forward to seeing you on Lightest Night.
