Nottingham City Council is seeking your views on the Draft Eastside Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and is inviting comments on this document.
Life NewsThe Draft Eastside SPD is a planning document which contains information on planning policies for Eastside Area (the map below highlights the ‘Eastside’ area in red). It will provide a framework to guide future development of the area so it’s important that your views are heard.
The deadline how now been extended and the council are collecting responses until 5pm on Friday 29 October 2021
The document sets out a vision for the Area and seeks to promote the following principles:
• An appropriate balance in the type of housing in the Eastside Area.
• A good balance in the type of development in the Eastside Area to support the local area, adjacent communities and Creative Quarter objectives.
• Ensuring that all new development achieves a high standard of environmental sustainability.
• Improvements to the environment of the Eastside Area, and adjacent areas, including open space and public realm enhancements and the protection and enhancement of heritage assets.
• Ensuring good connections into the Area, to surrounding communities and within the Eastside Area.
• Development in line with the 20-minute neighbourhood principles, where people can meet their everyday needs within a short walk or cycle.

Thursday and Friday, 1pm to 5pm Tuesday)
· Victoria Leisure Centre: Gedling Street, Nottingham NG1 1DB (7.30am to 8pm
Monday – Friday, 9am to 3pm Saturday-Sunday)
How do I comment?
The City Council is encouraging electronic responses to ease processing. You can submit your comments in the following ways:
