by Surface Gallery
This June Surface Gallery is excited to present Novus, part of Nottingham Trent University’s city-wide photography degree show, Off the Screen.
Life NewsNovus displays the work of seven photographers exploring a variety of artistic disciplines. Works featured investigate the realms of the abstract and surreal, documentary, moving image and photomontage. From Eyon’s exploration into the uncanny and how images do not always reflect reality, to Wareham’s more traditional documentary work that looks at the modern existence of the pottery industry in Stoke-on-Trent, Novus offers a broad and intriguing visual experience, which questions our preconceptions of how we view the world.
This year Surface Gallery will host both Novus and Lotus, two groups from the NTU degree show, Off the Screen. Novus will take place in the Project Space in conjunction with Lotus which will take place in the Main Gallery. As always there will also be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Springhead.
