Surface Gallery is delighted to announce Reboot, an exhibition featuring Printemps and Green Riot.
Life NewsHave you tried turning it off and on again? It’s time to refresh! Reboot suggests that you relocate your folders. Whether you’re a newbie or a connoisseur, life is full of soft glitches; things can appear frozen. Take a break, reconsider, refocus on who we are and what we stand for. Issues are not really issues: you just need to Reboot.
Printemps and Green Riot are two visual artists based in France. In 2016, they jointly created L’Agence en Résidence with a mission of developing international exhibitions and artist residencies. New media, new forms, new audiences. L‘Agence en Résidence seeks to reach the widest audience possible through quality content and engaging and accessible cultural programming. After dozens of shows and more than 40 residencies conducted with artists from the UK, Italy, Germany, India, and more, Printemps and Green Riot are back with a brand new show informed by their encounters and discoveries. Reboot speaks of their observations, achievements, soft fights, and their position in the field of art through an original series of green graffiti and lettering made especially for the occasion.
About the Artists
Printemps: painting, drawing, lettering, video art
Do you speak geek? Printemps explores the disruption of her generation through the continuous flux and flow of information: bit language displaces conviction and represents the new nihilism and its relation to the media.
Green Riot: green graffiti, bio-art
Make it green. Territorial wars, food, duplication, waste management, these issues at the heart of contemporary culture apply to a complex systems of plants. By giving human form to plants, Green Riot with his Green Graffiti opens a dialogue between human beings and their biological environments.
