Skate Nottingham has released key dates and times for their Skateboarding In The City festival from the 24th September- 3rd October 2021.
Life FestivalsThe 7 day festival is jam-packed with an exciting array of events, workshops and more, taking place all over the city. This multi-venue skate festival is returning to Nottingham for the first time since 2019! There’s lots to get involved with, and the fun begins this Friday with the City Circuit skate video competition.

Key dates:
• City Circuit skate video competition
Friday 24th September 6.00pm to Sunday 26th September 12.00am Midnight
Groups of up to 5 skaters create and edit skate videos of up to 3-mins long. Follow and DM @city_circuit on Instagram to enter. Prizes from Forty Two shop to be awarded for the best edits, skaters, tricks, slams and hijinks after the screening on Friday 1st of October
• Sneinton Market 10 year exhibition
From Monday 27th September
Outdoor temporary photography exhibition celebrating 10 years’ skate and graffiti culture brought to you by Skate Nottingham and Montana UK at Sneinton Market
• Dizzy Ink screen-printing workshops
Tuesday 28th & Wednesday 29th September, 4.00pm-7.00pm both days.
Free T-shirt design and screen-printing workshops with Dizzy Ink at the Carousel, Sneinton. Ages 12+. Limited places – book here.
• Beeston Fields DIY Jam
Wednesday 29th September, 2.00pm-7.00pm
Skateboarding jam, free for all-ages and abilities at Skate Nottingham’s Beeston Fields ‘legal DIY’ skatespot with additional movable obstacles plus prizes and giveaways. Celebrating our recent project to transform a dead space with Betongpark and Beeston Civic Society. Google pin for the location here
• Radical Places Panel Discussions
Thursday 30th September, 4.00pm-8.00pm
Public talks and Q&A with skaters, writers, makers, community organisers and experts on spaces, sustainability, design and inclusivity at Metronome. Speakers include local and international academics and students. Panel members and discussion themes to be announced soon. Entry is free but you will need to book a ticket to gain entry. • City Circuit Film Screenings
Friday 1st October, 6.00pm-8.00pm
Screening of the City Circuit film entries at Metronome and prizes from Forty Two skateshop. Entry is free but you will need to book a ticket to gain entry. Book a ticket here
• Nottingham Open Skate Competition
Saturday 2nd October, all day
Skateboarding competition at Flo Indoor Skatepark. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in street and park, plus fun challenges for small cash prizes and giveaways, supported by Skateboard GB
• Workshop to create your own comic book inspired by skateboarding
Sunday 3rd October, 10.00am-12.00pm midday
Workshop at Backlit Gallery with Dr Matt Green (University of Nottingham) and graphic novelist Dr Nicola Streeten. Entry is free but you will need to book a ticket to gain entry. Book a ticket here
