It's that time of year again, everyone's getting into the festive spirit and shopping for gifts for family and friends. So why not show your support to the small and local independent businesses of Nottingham for Small Business Saturday.
Life NewsSmall Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages the public to 'shop local' and support small businesses in their communities.
There's a lot happening in and around the Creative Quarter and Nottingham city centre on Small Business Saturday this year...
It's In Nottingham have got lots of treats and surprises up for grabs around the city centre:
10 Bloggers will be set a challenge to find the perfect Christmas present at the price of £40. They will be put on a 'bloggers trail' to find it. Then a blog will be written on this.
The BID have also created some limited edition tote bags that retail businesses can give out on the day. They will also be working with Left Lion on a ‘Shop Local This Christmas’ campaign to promote independent options for Christmas shopping. So you can see all of the fantastic places on where to buy your loved ones something special this Christmas.
“Show your support and shop locally on Small Business Saturday. Because everytime you buy something from a small business, a person does a happy dance!”
Want to have a roam around a craft market and meet Santa? Then come down to Sneinton Market Avenues for some festive fun! Known as 'the place to be', there'll be plenty to do for all ages.
Some of the tenants of The Avenues will have open studios so you can have a look around and see what they do. You can also get involved with the activities they've got planned.
