This weekend a three-day music and arts festival is taking place on Sneinton Market Plaza. The festival will be sharing music, food, performance and creative workshops for the whole community.
Life NewsHosted by City Arts and in collaboration with Nottingham Street Food Club, the festival aims to bring people together to enjoy a range of talent ranging from music, performance and comedy, art, creative workshops and most importantly, a huge range of food!
Starting Friday night and finishing Sunday evening the programme features a huge range of talent. Read the full line-up below:
FRIDAY NIGHT: 5PM – 10PM
5PM - 6.15PM // Adam Prescott Music – DJ Set - one of the finest selectors in the world spinning funk, soul and reggae tunes
6.20PM - 6.30PM // Amelia Daiz – cracking confessional comedy and poetry
6.30PM - 6.40PM // James Sikora – spoken word poetry
6.40PM - 6.50PM // Lauren Haywood – comedy set
6.50PM - 7PM // Francis Xavier Mukiibi – powerful and emotive spoken word from the London-born poet
7PM - 8PM // Adam Prescott – DJ Set
7.45PM - 8PM // Belly dance from Florence Moonlight of Moonlight Belly Dance
8PM - 9.00PM // Elmz XIX – up-and-coming rap artist, songwriter, and producer from Nottingham
9PM - 10PM // Adam Prescott – DJ Set

FAMILY-FRIENDLY WORKSHOPS 👪👩👩👦👨👦
12PM - 1.30PM // 2PM - 4PM // Puppetry
Join puppeteer and puppet maker Nikki Charlesworth for an introduction to puppetry. Create your own puppet and explore how different forms of puppetry can be used in storytelling. All materials provided.
12PM - 2PM // 2.30PM - 4PM // Mask Making 🎭
Create and personalise a mask with artist Kairel Mcleary Barnes. Explore your creativity using different materials to design different styles of mask. You’ll have the chance to wear you mask in our Carnival parade and at our Masked Ball. Materials provided.
12PM - 4PM // Face Painting
Artist Betty will be on hand to paint your face with any design you desire.
CARNIVAL PARADE 🎉🎊
4PM - 5PM // Inspire Urself - Dance Arts Events will lead a carnival parade through the Avenues. Put on your handmade masks, bring your puppets and join the fun!
MASKED BALL 🎭
An evening of music and art in the City Arts Dome, hosted by MC and beatboxer Motormouf.
5.30PM - 6PM // Motormouf – a hip-hop hippy who travels the galaxy armed with a loop pedal, a microphone, quick fire lyrics and beatbox vocals as his weapon of choice
6PM - 6.40PM // Fermata Ark – electro-cello-looping from the experimental producer/composer/sound designer
6.40PM - 7.10PM // Ben Wright – acoustic set
7.15PM - 8.00PM // Tara - acoustic synth pop
8PM - 9PM // Arch Femmesis – post-punk performance art featuring Zera Tønin and Meddla
9PM - 10PM // NottingJam Orchestra – an ever-growing collective of musicians and artists dedicated to improvised live performance, bringing you a fascinating assortment of Hip-Hop, Funk, Blues, Gypsy-Punk, Folk, Jazz and Beat-boxing!

Join us for a Sunday street party with a range of eclectic performances inside the City Arts Dome. 🎊
