A beautiful, century-old travelling dance hall, made of wood and complete with ornate decoration and mirrors, will host a packed schedule of great events this May, including music, circus, cabaret, theatre, comedy and burlesque, with something for the entire family, plus food and drink.
Life NewsShow highlights include The Gilded Merkin Burlesque and Cabaret – Nottingham’s biggest Burlesque show, The Nottingham Guild of Magicians and The Bookworms, plus comedian Milton Jones, ground-breaking band Stone Foundation, The Greatest Nottingham circus cabaret show, and much more. Plus a varied programme of events for children and families.

Nottingham has a long history of hosting touring pop-up venues., with the Goose Fair being a mecca for live entertainment for over 700 years long before the trill rides of today. The Spiegeltent continues to build on this tradition, with its 4th modern-day visit to the city.

“Many of the shows on the programme give Nottingham, performers the opportunity to take centre stage. The Nottingham, Guild of Magicians sold out in the Spigelltent in 2017, likewise for the city Karaoke legends Bamalamasingsong and kids' supergroup Johnny and The Raindrops.”
The beautiful, intimate, century old travelling dance hall made of wood and complete with ornate decoration and mirrors will host their biggest ever schedule of shows this May, including music, circus, cabaret, theatre, comedy and burlesque.
They also celebrate Nottingham based companies with an increasing national reach such as the Just the Tonic Comedy club presenting Milton Jones and special 20th anniversary show mark 20-years of Detonate.
They're also proud to present a range of theatre shows that you don't normally see in Nottingham; including Vulvarine, Bubble Schmeisis and The Worst Little Warehouse in London: shows from last Summer's Edinburgh Fringe.
The Spiegeltent programme is aimed at a variety of different audiences throughout the two week run. There will be a main ticketed programme in the Spiegeltent, plus low cost workshops and free walkabout performances in the city centre.
