Five Live Bands, Street Food, Craft Beer, Night Market, Interactive Displays and a Light Night Parade !
Life FeaturesProud to celebrate its diverse and thriving community, Sneinton Market Avenues will come alive with a feast for the senses at 5.00pm on Friday February 23rd as part of Nottingham Light Night. This gritty, urban-edge area, which is rapidly becoming Nottingham’s coolest place to be, will be hosting an extravaganza of sound, light, food, drinks, dancing and interactive displays!
Bone Cult
The I’m Not From London team has pulled together some of the best creative and artistic talents from Nottingham's thriving music scene. The fabulously eclectic mix of artists will feature:Bone Cult @ 9pm; You Want Fox @ 8pm; Paul Nose @ 7pm; Ajay Henry @ 6pm and Brandy Row @ 5pm.
As darkness falls, the Avenues and Plaza will be glowing with vibrant psychedelic lighting and projections, courtesy of the creativity of Metempsychosis.
At 7.00pm an illuminated parade around the avenues will bring a pulsating carnival atmosphere.... glowing lanterns, large bird puppets, flamboyant costumes and carnival dancers, all brought together by the wonderful Curious?, City Arts, ABC Dance, Inspire Urself and EMCCAN
During the evening, the a capella group 'aint what you do' will be treating us to some fabulous singing around the Avenues
There will be everything on hand to keep you fed and watered too...
Blend Coffee Shop will be running a fully licensed bar serving craft beer, wine and warming boozy chocolate. Gin from The Avenues resident RedSmith Distillery will also be on hand to keep your spirits up!
Rocket Dogs
There will be mouth-watering Street Food specialities supplied by Rocket Dogs; Smiffy's Smoke Shack; The Singing Pineapple (pizza); Veggies and Los Cuates Churros and Sneinton Market’s own Vietcentric will be showcasing their wonderful Vietnamese cookery workshops.
Local street market stalls will be lining The Avenues, showcasing all kinds of arts & crafts and there'll also an opportunity to take part in a drop-in glass blowing session with Bden Glass at the Sneinton Market Shop.
On Gedling Street, The cool guys at Its Simple Clothing will be presenting ‘Light up the City’ with a DJ & light show and the creatives at One BC will be taking us back to the 60’s with their Light Night a "Go Go”!
The Avenues
Prism have an interactive 10 foot splat wall in Unit 8 and you'll be able to step into their Prism light installation and draw your image for a 15 foot projection!
Place will be displaying a neon sign created by Invicta Neon in Unit 25, showing the winning entry from the highly successful chalkboard 'beforeidie' wall. This was brought to Sneinton Market as part of the Street Art festival last summer, with kind permission of artist Candy Chang.

With so much going on, you really need to make sure you get down to Sneinton Market Avenues for Light Night 2018 – it really is going to be an evening to be remembered!
