Over £15,000 has been raised for a Nottingham homeless charity following the Nottingham Digital Summit which was organised and hosted by digital marketing agency Hallam.
Life NewsHallam in partnership with local non-for-profit Framework, organised the first ever summit in the city which took place on June 21st at the Nottingham Playhouse.
The event brought together leading figures in the digital industry for a series of interactive talks, personalised clinics and networking opportunities throughout the day.
Over 600 people attended the summit, with all delegates making a donation to Framework as their ticket fee. Speakers included local senior representatives from Speedo and Capital one as well as national heavyweights from Microsoft and Google and many more.
The money raised will go towards combating homelessness in Nottingham city centre and the surrounding areas, an issue which has seen a huge increase over the past year.
Susan Hallam MBE, CEO of Hallam, who hosted the event, is delighted with the money raised and the huge success of the day.
As part of the partnership Hallam will also offer Framework pro-bono services to help the charity with their website and digital marketing offering this year.
“It was a privilege to host the first Nottingham Digital Summit and we are very proud to have raised over £15,000 for such a worthy cause as Framework. Our mission is to make Nottingham a leading digital city for digital marketers and leverage the huge pool of digital expertise right on our doorstep and I think we did just that. I would like to thank all the inspirational speakers who took part and all the delegates that attended and made the day what it was. We aim to be back and much bigger next year.”
