In Art of Football's World in Colour exhibition, they take a fresh look at some of the most iconic World Cup kits and the vibrant players that graced them.
Work NewsThere will be 12 life sized dynamic pieces that incorporate the real kits and a pop-up shop, in which you will be able to pick your design and get it printed in front of you. There will also be lots of other activities going on to make it an exhibition that will get you ready for the World Cup.
With the opening ceremony now less than a month away and anticipation growing as to who will turn in the stellar performances of the tournament, this exhibition focuses on some of the colourful moments and characters from previous World Cups. The artwork is uniquely AoF style, emphasising the movement, excitement, energy and colour of the game. The player and a replica of the shirt he would have worn in that moment are combined in a special 3-dimensional effect with fabric and paint working in partnership.
This last year has been a major step forward for the 2 brothers Gabe and Luke who started Art of Football 4 years ago from their bedroom at home. They have designed all the award-winning Nottingham Forest Match Programme covers, worked with Adidas on the World Cup ball launch in Moscow and completed an animation of the ultimate fantasy football match where Sky's Martin Tyler did the commentary.
The Exhibition comes to Nottingham after the success of it’s initial run at the Hoxton Arches in London, if you can't make it you can see the new World In Colour collection and the full range and quality of their work at www.art-of-football.com
