Broadway wishes to extend its enormous thanks to their outgoing Chair, Fred Brookes. Over the past 17 years his huge experience of the creative industries has been at the centre of Broadway’s success and he continues to be a strong advocate of Broadway’s mission to inspire creativity and a lifelong love of film.
“I am able to hand over to my successor a company in an excellent state, thanks to the unrivalled efforts and commitment of our CEO and staff team, the support of funders for our wide range of developmental work across the Midlands, and most of all the invaluable support of our appreciative and ever-growing customers across the city and the wider region. The board I have had the privilege to chair has been a solid support and close critical friend to Broadway throughout that time, and I have no doubt that under the hand of my successor, chosen through a rigorous appointment process, it will continue to be so.”
Fred Brookes“I am excited to join the team at Broadway, which I have always seen not only as the beating heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market area and a pivotal component in the city’s cultural offer, but also as a cultural asset of national importance. I look forward to working with all the team and supporting Broadway through the next phase of its development and beyond.”
