Work Featured BusinessGive us your elevator pitch – what does your business do?
Space Face Films creates video content for artists and bands. This includes music videos, live event highlights, ads and more. I have four years professional experience creating visual content. Clients include the bands Nickelback, Queen and Terrorvision. I also won the award for ‘Best Sound (Editing or Mixing)’ at the Midlands Movie Awards 2019.
SFF creates unique content that effectively showcases an artist or band’s brand. I also have a network of talented freelancers to join the team when the project requires it. SFF includes the whole package, from planning a shoot, to delivering the final edit.
I want to help talented people get the recognition they deserve.
Tell us about a piece of work you’ve completed that you’re currently proudest of?
I’m most proud of a music video I produced, directed and edited called ‘Crack’ by the midlands-based artist Lauren Hoyle. It’s one of the first projects I had almost full control of. There were limits in time and budget but as a team, we creatively came up with an exciting concept and executed it successfully, with about 1 minute to spare! This job taught me a lot and introduced me to some really talented creatives.
What do you love about working in Nottingham?
I love working in Nottingham because it’s multicultural, creative, full of great independent businesses and has great cycle routes. Also, I can easily commute from Nottingham to other cities.
Share your love for another Nottingham creative or digital business you work with or admire.
A few local businesses I admire are Acoustickle, The Elementz Studio and ChalleNGe.
I recently discovered Acoustickle and it looks like a vibe. They share a similar passion to me in helping talented artists break through into the music industry. I can’t wait until I can attend one of their events post pandemic.
The Elementz Studio records with big labels and independent artists in multiple genres. Again, they’re also helping talented people get into the spotlight like myself.
ChalleNGe is a beautiful organisation helping give children from all backgrounds the opportunity to be ‘imaginative, innovative and creative’. They’ve partnered with loads of great companies to bring inspiring activities to young people. I hope I get to work with them one day.
Let us know what you’d do on your perfect Nottingham day(global pandemic notwithstanding!) – where do you go/eat/drink/shop?
We’ve all had a while to daydream about this while isolating haven’t we!
I’d cycle into Nottingham down the canal from Beeston.
Check out some art at Nottingham Contemporary.
Grab a bite at Ugly Bread Bakery.
Look and probably buy some clothes at White Rose.
Go check out the comic book store Page 45.
Check out some live music at Jam Café.
Eat at Sexy Mamma Love Spaghetti or Petit Paris.
Have some drinks at The Hockley Arts Club.
Have a boogie at the club Ink.
I’m still pretty new to Notts so I’m looking forward to exploring the area more.
