Nottingham Trent University, a partner of the new Big House Digital & Creative Industries business support programme, will provide a full suite of help to those with just an idea for business right up to high growth SMEs in the sector.
Work NewsNTU has recruited a new team to facilitate their delivery of The Big House programme, which will be delivered via the University’s two flagship business units, The Hive and Nottingham Business School.
Adrian Williams, the new Business Advisor working in The Hive will help individuals set up their business and can also support businesses that have started within the previous 12 months. The Hive is Nottingham Trent University’s dedicated facility providing proven business start-up guidance and working space. Meanwhile, Kate Ling is the new Business Growth Coordinator who will work with established businesses looking to grow. This area of support will be offered via Nottingham Business School. Also recruited to support the programme are Michael Abbot, Mary Dansie and Anita Jones who will work with Programme Manager, Dr Lynn Oxborrow and Hive Manager, Chris Hall.
The Big House programme will support entrepreneurs and businesses in creative or digital sectors within Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Successful recipients will be able to receive a range of support which includes attending workshops designed for a new start and established businesses and topics relevant to the sector. They will also receive 1:1 support from highly experienced mentors to help start or grow their business. Growing businesses can apply for grants to help buy in expertise on a temporary basis.
Eligible individuals and businesses will receive free support from the Hive via the Big House programme due to the joint funding by the European Regional Development Fund and Nottingham Trent University.
