Following a successful event in 2017, Hallam Internet is partnering with Enterprise Nation to host another installment of Facebook’s #SheMeansBusiness programme on March 14th, 2018 in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Work NewsIn 2018, Facebook announced that their aspirations are to educate 50,000 female entrepreneurs across the UK through the #SheMeansBusiness programme.
The free event will be hosted by Hallam Internet’s Senior Social Media Consultant, Lauren Ahluwalia, who is one of only eight accredited She Means Business Facebook trainers in the country.
With a focus to empower and support female business owners throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, the event will deliver a training session on how to best utilise Facebook advertising to grow your business.
Having received training in Facebook’s Dublin HQ in February 2017, Lauren is excited to again have the opportunity to inspire a whole new generation of female entrepreneurs.
Lauren says:
“I had a fantastic day of training a lovely group of women last year and I am greatly looking forward to building confidence and doing my part in supporting the acceleration of the UK’s gender parity gap through social media”
Last year the event saw 24 female business owners from backgrounds in education, retail, finance, IT and legal services build their knowledge and discover new online strategies as recommended by Facebook.
Rosie Needham-Smith, PR and Marketing Manager at Nottingham homeware brand Lane, commented in 2017, “I really enjoyed learning all about Facebook marketing at Hallam Internet’s office. Excellent training which provided valuable content that can be applied for all businesses straight away. It’s amazing that there are free events like this to help small independent businesses in Nottingham succeed.”
Since the last event, Hallam Internet has signed onto the Tech Talent Charter to support diversity in the workplace and our managing director, Susan Hallam, has been recognized in the 2018 Queen’s New Years honours list for her contributions to entrepreneurship, innovation and her lifetime work in digital marketing.
This free event is exclusive to women in business and will be held at Hallam Internet on March 14, 2018, at 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
