We've switched up our weekly offering of online meet-ups, with new sessions now taking place every Tuesday and Thursday
Work EventsAfter two months and 41 Lunchtime LoCQdown sessions covering everything from legal issues, to parenting whille working from home, and how to maintain creativity during a pandemic, we've pivoted again to a new schedule and a new name: Lunchtime Lift-off.
Reflecting a positive new mindset as we all figure out how to lift ourselves out of lockdown, our Zoom meetings will now take place twice a week at 1pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The meeting ID is still 487-198-858, and as usual, message us on social media or email us on admin@creativequarter.com for the password, which changes with each session to esnure Lunchtime Lift-off remains a safe space.

Tuesday 28 July: Kelly Cookson, Cheer Up Marketing- Five ways to get better returns on your email marketing. Kelly is a marketer of over 12 years' experience and set up Cheer Up Marketing in January this year after deciding it was time to start her own business. She is passionate about the results that email marketing can bring and making it accessible to other entrepreneurs. She understands that marketing your business can feel overwhelming (so many social media channels!) and it is now her mission to help others to focus their efforts on email and get great results.

Tuesday 14 July: Isi Dixon, Productivity Expert, Author & Speaker Digital -Getting stuff done whether you’re working from home or at the office. In these challenging times it is important to be flexible. Many of us will be working from home at least part time; some of us are going back to the office after quite a few months off. Isi Dixon, Productivity Expert will be giving you tips and advice on how to deal with these challenges and still get stuff done.
Thursday 9 July: Saffron Shergill, Digital PR Analyst at Impression-The place of personal branding in digital marketing. The talk will be discussing the role that personal branding plays in digital marketing today. She will be identifying the misconceptions which people have about personal branding and elaborate on how digital marketers are using it as a catalyst for their success. Saffron Shergill is a Digital PR Analyst at Impression. She graduated with a BSc International Business degree from University of Birmingham and started her career in SEO before moving to Digital PR at Impression.

Thursday 2 July: Steve Hobbs, Asking Better Questions Ltd- Just because it’s ‘unprecedented’ doesn’t mean you can’t prepare. Steve will explore getting your act together - now and post-pandemic. In a recent survey only 14% of leaders said it was ‘business as usual’ following lockdown. The others have had to re-do their plans and for some this is an existential crisis. Establishing a measure of control - even in times of great uncertainty - brings energy and focus to everything you do. Steve Hobbs supports leaders and managers in organisations of all sizes in getting unstuck, in bringing energy to their opportunities and challenges, and finding approaches that deliver results... whatever the situation.
Tuesday 30 June: Jorge Andrés Martínez, Product expert & SDLC coach- A Bold new world. A Bold New World is a retrospective on how we have faced challenges and overcame them in the past, what did we learn from those experiences and how we can keep implementing those teachings. Jorge is a product expert & SDLC coach who helps companies earn money be redefining their process and product needs. He has a large track record with startups, games, tech and other creative businesses; specializing in gamification solutions and agile methodologies.
Thursday 25 June: Tessa Cooper, Collaborative Future- Building deeper connections. Tess will talk about how developing our connections with others helps us to do better work, make better decisions and build more resilient businesses. She runs Collaborative Future, a social enterprise reimagining the world of work. With over a decade of experience of building and leading inclusive and empowered teams, she went solo in order to build more businesses and teams where everyone is empowered to thrive.

Thursday 18 June: Caron - Jane Lyon, PCM creative media - Pivot to Digital and back again. What is audience engagement and retention blending physical and digital experiences during a socially distanced summer going to look like? This session is a look at lockdown where everyone went digital and look to the not too distant future where we all ask what we want our new normal to look like. Caron is a Creative Producer of projects and events specialising in remote audience experiences. As a theatre stagemanager spending time on the SM teams at Nottingham Playhouse, Sheffield Crucible, Chichester Festival Theatre before pivoting to digital providing online community networks and social media support for Arts Council England, The Federations of Entertainment Unions and live-performance-creatives trade union Equity.
Tuesday 16 June: Lucy Stanford & Amy Coulson, Nottingham BID- Preparation for the city reopening. Nottingham Bid will be talking about the work they have been doing (& continue to do so) with partners to get the city ready for non-essential retail opening. Lucy joined Nottingham BID in March 2018 and in the summer of 2018 she completed the Certificate in BID Management and Amy joined Nottingham BID in August 2018. Her role is to manage projects that showcase Nottingham’s great businesses.
Thursday 11 June: Edward Boott, Artistic Director & CEO of Nonsuch- What next? (LOLS). Edward Boott is Artistic Director & CEO of Nonsuch in Nottingham which he founded in 2013. From starting life as a theatre company, Nonsuch now produce and tour their own shows as well as the work of other artists; produce community projects that reach over 7,000 individuals every year; and run the brand-new Nonsuch Studios - Nottingham’s newest creative space and performance venue in the heart of the city’s Creative Quarter.
Tuesday 9 June: Anna Caig, Freelance Communications Consultant and Lead Trainer at Anna Caig Communications - Media training for online interviews Online interviews have become ‘the new normal’ during the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to communicate clearly and effectively is greater than ever. It’s not all about the traditional media these days, though. Good interview technique will also help you in a range of modern communications settings, from a guest slot on a podcast to a piece of short video content.
Thursday 4 June: Christian Venablees, SCV Studios Ltd - Social Media AR. Social Media AR is revolutionising advertising - how you can get your products and services to reach more people than ever before. Christian has an architectural background producing 3D models, renders and animations for clients to communicate their designs. He's passionate about making 3D accessible for everyone to inform, educate and have fun!
Tuesday 2 June: Paul Bailey, Design Thinking Dad - Why I take my work home (and you should too!) Over the last year, Design Thinking Dad (DTD) has been on a transformational personal journey — from a 'Digital Designer' trapped by waterfall delivery, to a 'Design Thinker' working in a fast-paced agile environment. In this talk, he'll share what he learned and show how armed with only an abundant supply of post-it notes, he's using Design Thinking at work to empower creative teams and in his personal life to tackle the everyday challenges of being a parent

Nottingham Trent University, the UK’s University of the Year, has a Creative Quarter campus. Nottingham College is investing £58m in a new skills hub. Confetti is expanding fast. Metronome is open for business and learning.
