GDC brings together 28,000 attendees to exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry with five days of education, inspiration, and networking at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Attendees include programmers, artists, producers, game designers, audio professionals, business decision-makers and others involved in the development of interactive games and immersive experiences.
The GDC Expo showcases the latest game development tools and services from 550 leading technology companies such as Amazon, Google, Intel, Nvidia, Oculus, Sony, and Unreal Engine.
Attendees can use GDC Connect business matchmaking to set up meetings and explore new partnerships and business opportunities.

Provisional programme:
Sunday 17th March – Arrive in San Francisco ready for the programme to begin on Monday Monday 18th March (AM) – Breakfast briefing session hosted by the DIT team in San Francisco
Monday 18th March – Tuesday 19th March – Pre-arranged 1:1 meetings with invited buyers and key players in the market
Tuesday 19th March – Exclusive DIT networking reception Wednesday 20th March – Friday 22nd March – Presence on Midlands Engine Exhibition stand within the UKIE
Pavilion with access to enclosed room to have meetings and network Wednesday 20th March (PM) – Attend UKIE networking reception at GDC Friday 22nd March (PM) – Programme ends
Cost and grants: A charge of £605+ VAT is applicable for each organisation which will cover your tailored programme and 1:1 meeting facilitation. This charge will be offset with a travel grant of £625 available for companies in the Midlands Engine area who meet the required eligibility criteria as detailed on the application form.

Pre-mission briefing (Early February 2019)
A pre-mission briefing will be held to fully brief attendees on the trip including:
an overview of the mission programme and top tips to help you prepare
how the local Embassy will support you throughout your visit
the opportunity to meet and connect with other delegates also joining the visit
