Why Wenzhou?
The Midlands Engine has established a strong partnership with Zhejiang Province, one of China’s most developed and affluent regions. This relationship was initiated by Nottingham City Council, and has been scaled up to the Midlands Engine region in order to widen commercial connections. The key focus of the mission is to boost trade and investment links. Wenzhou, as the second largest city in Zhejiang Provence, has the geographical advantage of being close to Shanghai. In addition, Wenzhou was ranked second place in the “Top 100 Chinese City Brands” in 2019.
Wenzhou Cultural Expo won the honour of "China’s most influential exhibition in the industry” and “China’s top 100 exhibition brands in the exhibition industry”.
This year, the theme of 2020 Wenzhou Creative and Cultural Expo is “Creativity, Integration and Development”. Wenzhou are offering sponsorship for Midlands Engine businesses to attend the event to build more connections.
