A fast paced/busy role needs filling for a period of 12 months at Medilink East Midlands for someone who can operationally manage a series of events, as well as marketing and membership activity. (Maternity cover)
Work OpportunitiesMedilink East Midlands are seeking to recruit a Project Leader – Events & Marketing within a small team offering a range of support activities to life science companies across the East Midlands including delivery of projects part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (for further information regarding the current projects, please visit our website via this link http://www.medilinkem.com/projects).
Events The main role will be that of managing and delivering a variety of events from start to finish including; sourcing suitable venues, managing the bookings and delegates for each event, preparing all event material, working with the Project Manager to arrange suitable speakers, attending and managing the events to ensure they run smoothly, as well as post event work e.g. reviewing feedback forms and generating management information. Marketing The role will also entail marketing responsibilities including; updating and maintaining websites, compiling and sending out the fortnightly newsletter, promotion of all events, project managing the production of marketing material such as the company’s annual report & promotional leaflets. Membership Maintain the membership records for the company on the CRM, website and reconciliation with the finance team. Liaise with member companies that you have been allocated to as Account Manager.
The suitable candidate must have at least 2/3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
They will be a conscientious, organised and systematic self-starter who has an eye for detail and is also a good team player.
Ideally, they should have worked within a small office environment where numerous projects/activities are undertaken simultaneously.
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft applications, WordPress, email marketing systems, PDF editor/Photoshop)
Experience / knowledge of the Life Sciences Sector would be preferable but not essential.
This role will be based at Medilink East Midlands office in BioCity, Pennyfoot Street, Nottingham, NG1 1GF
The suitable candidate must hold a UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
