Exciting opportunity as Business Engagement Manager with the Creative Quarter on our Big House business support programme.
Work OpportunitiesThis is a part time role – 22.5 hours / 3 days per week, at salary £35,700 pro rata.
We are offering this role initially on a fixed term contract until end March 2020 but the expectation is that this post will be required until the end of Big House project in September 2022, but that is subject to confirmation of ongoing funding at March 2020, March 2021 and March 2022.
The purpose of the role is to work with the Creative Quarter’s Big House team, with our partners and suppliers, to deliver and / or procure a successful business engagement support to emerging and established businesses, in support of achievement of ERDF outputs and other objectives.
The Creative Quarter is an economic development agency located in Nottingham, supporting the start up and growth of creative and digital businesses in the Hockley, Lace Market and Sneinton areas, and across the city of Nottingham.
The Big House is a business support project to help creative and digital businesses to start up and grow. It is delivered by a partnership of 7 organisations across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, including the Creative Quarter. The Big House provides support to entrepreneurs and established businesses in the form of workshops, network events and one-to-one advice. It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project is due to run until end of September 2022.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake business diagnostics for SMEs, one-to-one consultations and help clients to draw up development and business plans.
They will work closely with Big House partners and the D2N2 Growth Hub, and with the Creative Quarter Big House Events Manager and Marketing Manager to design, commission, deliver and coordinate activities, workshops and networking events and procure a range of specialist advisors to work with businesses and entrepreneurs.
They will have experience and a track record of working with entrepreneurs and businesses to start, consolidate their business to bring about business growth.
Ideally they will have experience of delivering business support to the Creative and Digital and other technology-based sectors. Having SFEDI Accreditation is desirable.
