We are looking for an experienced Front End Developer to join our team, working predominantly in WordPress for a variety of clients. Attention to detail and the ability to write clean code a must.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new user-facing features
• To write reusable, clean and lean code.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimise application for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members in the design and development team
Skills & Qualifications:
• Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as Sass and Less
• Familiarity with task runners such as Gulp, Grunt and Webpack
• Excellent understanding of PHP and relevant frameworks such WordPress, Laravel, Magento and WordPress WooCommerce
• Excellent understanding of JavaScript and relevant frameworks such as Angular, React or Vue.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Sketch or Photoshop is an advantage.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Ideally have a sound understanding of email design/build
• The ideal candidate will show a real passion for developing and keeping up to date with the latest developments in the industry. They will show a constant desire to improve, learn and try new techniques, bringing ideas to the team that can improve our processes.
