Midlands Academy of Dance & Drama (known affectionately as ‘MADD’) is located in Nottingham – a vibrant, diverse and friendly city steeped in history with a dynamic and ever-growing cultural offering, in the heart of the Midlands. Nottingham is one of the most exciting, student-friendly and affordable cities in the UK. We are a cosmopolitan city with fantastic resources and also great transportation links to other parts of the country and the rest of the world.

In 1988, a Three Year Musical Theatre Diploma Course was developed and is now accredited by the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) and validated to deliver the Level 6 Professional Musical Theatre by Trinity College, London. The level 6 diploma can be topped up to a BA Hons (Performing Arts) at any time during the college graduates’ performing career.

MADD is also extremely proud of its incredibly popular Part-Time course through its 'Associate School', providing Dance and Musical Theatre classes for 3 to 18 year olds. Qualifications in Teacher Training in Dance at Level 4 with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) are available, which are recognised by Ofqual and the annual Summer School for 7-11 and 12-18 year olds.
