Clare Morgan (aka curiousinkyme) is a Nottingham based artist whose printmaking practice has evolved from a love of drawing figuratively.
Limited edition prints are created with rich oil-based colour that works in harmony with thin Japanese paper, the prints are fragile yet strong; and surprisingly tactile. Clare leaves evidence of the process of the artwork's creation, marks of carved lino create life and energy.
Deeply influenced by her experience with blood cancer Clare creates work that celebrates strength and vulnerability, acknowledging that everything is impermanent, imperfect and incomplete; and that is beautiful.
Clare graduated with a Fine art degree in 2005 and has since exhibited nationally and internationally, including a solo show in Derby last year. Alongside regular exhibitions she can also be found at Art fairs and sells illustrated jewellery and prints at a number of venues in Nottingham and Derbyshire.
