Mel Rye
I am an illustrator and educator with over 12 years experience working with a range of clients and student groups.
My work is mixed media, and I like to incorporate texture, layering and some more intricate elements which combine to be quite playful and incorporate elements of humour, silliness or the unexpected, to create work which has a broad appeal to both children and adults.
Outcomes have ranged from murals to arts trails to printed materials, wedding invitations, museum visitor interpretation and digital exhibitions.
As well as making illustrations, I am also a qualified teacher, tutoring at Central Saint Martins and Ravensbourne and running various Illustration and visual arts workshops, and teaching online.
If you would like more information about my experience, the workshops I have delivered or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
