We’re a small business network, helping public facing, bricks & mortar independents thrive in our city. We connect our collective with opportunities, support them grow and bring them together to create a rich, diverse and exciting business community.

Independent Nottingham is a joint venture between Nottingham Business Improvement District (BID) and the hundreds of independent, public-facing businesses that make our city vibrant and unique.
Nottingham BID have a ring-fenced fund of over £100,000 per year to help support Nottingham’s independent businesses. An Independent Advisory Group (IAG) was formed to represent the sector and help determine how the funds are spent each year. The IAG is chaired by Nottingham BID Director, Geoff Williams, who himself is an independent business owner in the city. Along with fellow independent business manager, Polly Reade, who is also a member of the Nottingham BID board. Both Polly and Geoff represent the interests of independent businesses on the Nottingham BID committee.
Opportunities range from pop-ups in John Lewis & Partners Nottingham, specialist training, weekly communications about the City's business support and a dedicated Nottingham BID representative.
