ROUGH TRADE PRESENTS: ALEX OHM
Alex Ohm and his band return to Nottingham to promote their upcoming single ‘Going nowhere fast’.
Alex Ohm’s alternative, cinematic symphonies reflect the wide range of influences that inspire his work and come together to create his unique sound.
Midlands based songsmith, Ohm has become a renowned name on the local music scene and beginning to make a name for himself far and wide.
The LEVIS
The LEVIS are a upcoming British 4 piece indie garage rock band formed in north Derbyshire in late 2016, consisting of Max Stokes on vocals and guitar, Tommy Kearney on backing vocals and lead guitar, Toby Chatterton on bass and Jack Kearney on drums. The band have played sell out shows at venues such as the leadmill, cafe totem and record junkee in Sheffield, and at jimmy's bar in Manchester and the chameleon arts cafe in Nottingham. The band have played on the same bill as acts such as SPINN, Casey lowry, bedroom high club, The K's, and the rooves.
From 2018 to the present day they have had several of their tracks played on BBC introducing, some making it as track of the week. In 2019 the band played the BBC introducing Quarry stage at Y NOT festival and played as part of the Tramlines fringe festival.They have also released their tracks on apple music and spotify under the name The LEVIS.
The bands sound had been described as raw melodic indie and have been compared to other bands such as the cribs, the magic gang and the strokes
Remy
At 19 years old, Remy has won the Notts Factor 2018 Final, won and played at Rock City for the Future Sound of Nottingham 2019 and played on the Main Stage at Splendour Festival 2019 - since starting his brief musical career. Remy has a repertoire of soul/rock/pop tracks and a powerful, soulful vocal to carry his catchy melodies.
