Annabel will be reflecting on her career in global retail and how creativity can flourish in a challenging commercial environment - plus a few life lessons along the way ….

Bio

Annabel has had a long career in retail buying, product development and brand management in global organisations. She spent 8 years in Fashion and Lifestyle buying at Top Shop and Athena, prior to moving to Nottingham in 1995 to join Boots (Walgreens Boots Alliance) where her last role was Vice President and Global Category Director for Cosmetics, Gift and Accessories.

Annabel’s focus has been on delivering creative and innovative solutions to commercial challenges, and was a catalyst for change throughout her 23 years at Boots. In her senior leadership capacity she drove an agenda championing diversity and inclusion, focussing on helping women thrive.

Since leaving Boots, Annabel has been appointed to the Board of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter, Nottingham Contemporary and is also on the Innovation Advisory Board for D2N2 (Local Enterprise Partnership).

She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and an Academician at the Academy of Urbanism.
