We launch the first-ever survey of Lis Rhodes - a pioneer of experimental filmmaking and a major figure in the history of artists working with film in Britain. The exhibition will span almost 50 years of Rhodes’ work, from her groundbreaking formal experiments in films from the 1970s, to her later political works which look at issues including women’s rights, nuclear power, migrant labour and surveillance.
Join our summer party, celebrating the launch of our new exhibition by pioneering filmmaker, Lis Rhodes, with an evening of art, film, music and even a BBQ.
Music
Nkisi will be playing her unique sound, which unites Hyper-Modern Club sounds with Afrocentric Rhythms. She established herself in London’s underground scene via her vivid club-fuelled tracks, demanding full attention with exhilarating energy when heard.
Our galleries are open 6.30-9pm.
The party continues in our bar until 11pm.
