14th April 2019
19:30 - 22:30 BST
Join us at Broadway in Nottingham on 14th April 2019 for a one-of-a-kind evening celebrating exploration of some of the wildest places on earth.
We’ll be screening the world’s best adventure films and we’ll be joined on stage by two incredible speakers:
Former British Royal Marine and wildlife conservationist James Glancy who last year took part in ‘the most dangerous experiment ever attempted on the Discovery channels - Shark Week’, spending a staggering 43 hours floating in the Atlantic Ocean with deadly whitetip sharks circling. His aim - to prove that sharks are graceful and cautious creatures which deserve protection from fishing.
Plus hear from Jenny Tough – an incredible adventurer who is currently running a self-supported solo run across a mountain range on every continent! So far she's crossed the Tien Shan Mountains in Kyrgyzstan, the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, the Cordillera Oriental in Bolivia and she's currently running in the Southern Alps. Jenny joins us to share honest tales from her incredible solo adventures.
The evening will be presented by Festival Director Steve Scott.
