Help create feathers for a fleet of fabulous giant flamingos + make a marvellous mini bird puppet to take home. The puppets you will help to create in this fun family-friendly workshop will appear at Nottingham Carnival 2019.
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy. We will be using lots of glue and glitter!
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Parents & guardians can attend for free when accompanying a child. You only need to buy tickets for the children in your group.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Artist Alison Denholm is creating a flock of giant flamingos for this years Nottingham Carnival, on 18 August 2019.
Alison has been creating carnival art since 2007, and has put out parades across the UK. This year she is building giant puppets that will fit onto shopmobility scooters - so people who can’t normally take part in carnival get to be centre stage!
The 'Dancing Mobiles' project is supported by Arts Council England's Project Grants.
