Surface Gallery is pleased to announce Ocular, part of Nottingham Trent University's city-wide photography degree show, GEN23.
Ocular displays an array of photographic work by nine final year photography students. The show explores a range of subject matter, on both digital and analogue based mediums. While Potten captures the journey of the River Tame in Greater Manchester, highlighting environmental challenges such as pollution and microplastics, MacInnes considers the relationship between mother and daughter and shared objects of everyday life, through an ongoing game of hide-and-seek. Each individual project is brought together in Ocular, to culminate in a diverse and engaging group show.
Ocular opens in the Project Space in conjunction with Are We Artists Now? in the Main Gallery, both part of the same city-wide photography festival, GEN23. Complimentary drinks will be available at the private view. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Pheasantry.
