A semi-autobiographical tale, Pain & Glory follows Salvador Mallo, a film director in decline as he recalls a series of experiences and encounters from his past: his childhood growing up in the ‘60s in Valencia, his first love affair in ‘80s Madrid, the pain of heartbreak and his early discovery of cinema. Written and directed by Academy Award winner Pedro Almodóvar (The Skin I Live In, Volver), this is an intense, evocative and beautifully produced film with a stellar cast.
