3rd April 2019
18:00 - 20:00 BST
Please join us for a lively evening of debate and discussion hosted by Louise Third MBE FRSA. Louise is Chair of Speakers’ Corner Trust, a charity which promotes free expression, public debate and active citizenship as a means of revitalising civil society. Come and find out how the Trust is supporting local Speakers’ Corner networks in English towns, encouraging greater civility in online political debate, and promoting free thinking on university campuses.
Louise will also share some practical tips on how to persuade people to your side and debate effectively, and there’ll be an opportunity to find out how you might get involved with the speakers’ corner in Nottingham.
Refreshments will be available to buy from the wonderful Dash Vegan café. The event is free to attend and open to Fellows, friends, and colleagues interested in supporting the work of the RSA. Please book a place using the link above.
This is the first in a new series of events at RSA Nottingham. Each season we invite a local Fellow to host an evening at THiNK. If you would like to express an interest in taking up this opportunity at the summer, autumn or winter sessions please get in touch with networks@rsa.org.uk.
If you have any access requirements or require any reasonable adjustments, please let the team know: networks@rsa.org.uk. Please also let us know if you have any dietary requirements or severe allergies.
By registering for this event you consent to receiving communications about this event, both before and after, and you also agree to the sharing of your name and organisation with other delegates at the event so that they might contact you through MyRSA.
