14th February 2019
18:30 - 20:30 GMT
The Thursday Coach is a free, monthly Life Coaching workshop for writers and artists interested in refining their creative practice. These sessions won’t just benefit your writing, they will help you handle the stresses of everyday life in a more skilful way. Coaching enables you to foster a conscious and creative mindset. Let go of who you think you should be, and learn to engage at a deeper level of authenticity in order to be the artist you truly are.
The workshops will run on the second Thursday of every month throughout 2018 and have been made possible by a donation from a private client who was stunned by the impact life coaching had on their creative life and wanted to enable others to feel the benefit of such work. Throughout the coming months we will be looking at some common obstacles to writing, and taking you through invaluable tools to shed your fears and step into your potential.
The sessions are run by Writer and Life Coach Gabriela Blandy. In February’s session, we will be looking at ‘LOVE’.
Are you ready to fall in love with your writing? Make 2019 a year to build a meaningful connection with your writing practice. Come to your WIP with all the enthusiasm that you would come to a lover. Discover how to nurture yourself and your words in order to become the writer you aspire to be.
Gabriela has been coaching since 2015 and working with writers and artists for over a decade. She trained with The Coaching Academy, where she received a distinction. She has been awarded the Royal Society of Literature V. S. Pritchett award and is published alongside Sarah Waters in Virago’s collection of ghostly tales, Something was There. She worked for over four years as the Assistant Director of The Hurst, a retreat for writers based in Shropshire. She has an MA in Creative Writing with Distinction, and co-founded writLOUD, a literary event based in London (now called Hubbub).
