True Stories is David Byrne’s quirky take on small-town America, set in the folksy, fictional Texas town of Virgil as it ramps up to a sesquicentennial festival (the “Celebration of Specialness”). The songs Byrne wrote for the film ultimately turned into the Talking Heads’ penultimate album. Kino Klubb’s Joey Bell will introduce this screening.
This event takes place as part of Soundstage, Nottingham's Festival of Music and the Moving Image.
