Nottingham College is the largest provider of further education in Nottingham and every year helps more than 34,000 local people gain skills and qualifications which change their lives.
It’s nine sites, four of which are based in the heart of the city centre, cater for Nottingham’s diverse student population, offering part-time and full-time courses at various levels – from Level 1, right through to degree-level study - and in a variety of curriculum areas, from: Engineering; Construction; Motor Vehicle, Business and IT, to Hospitality and Catering; Health and Wellbeing; Art, Design and Fashion; Sport and Performing Arts.
As well as vocational training programmes, such as NVQs, BTECs and Apprenticeships, the college also benefits from a dedicated University Centre, based in the Lace Market, and a specialist Sixth Form centre for those choosing to study A Levels.
In 2020 the college opened its City Hub. The City Hub consists of an impressive six storeys of state-of-the-art facilities and resources for more than 2000 students and nearly 300 staff. Housing a wealth of facilities including: a performing arts centre, catering and hospitality curriculum, business, computing and IT provision, creative and digital media, travel and tourism, science and early years provision, the City Hub represents £58m of educational investment in Nottingham.
The College has also a commercial training restaurant, 200 seat theatre and hair and beauty salons to help to equip students with those all-important industry skills, whilst its specialist Construction, Automotive and Engineering centres provide first class facilities that enable students to thrive in their chosen field.
With dedicated and supportive teaching staff, many of whom have a wealth of industry experience, Nottingham Collegeprides itself on being more than simply a place of study, it is a centre of excellence for teaching and learning, but more than that, it’s a place where careers are made.
